Class 9b from Obersulm Secondary School visited Europa-Park after winning the school competition “Jewish Life in Germany – A Source of Diversity.” Their innovative project, “Escape the Hate” impressed the jury and addressed the fight against anti-Semitism and online hate.

Winning Class Visits Europa-Park

Class 9b from Obersulm Secondary School enjoyed a special outing. As winners of the school competition “Jewish Life in Germany – A Source of Diversity,” they were awarded a visit to Europa-Park. The competition, initiated by the Tolerance on the Net Initiative, targeted students in the 8th grade in Baden-Württemberg and attracted over 60 projects.

The Winning Project “Escape the Hate”

With their project “Escape the Hate – An EduBreakout against Anti-Semitism, Fake News, Hate, and Hostility Online,” the students impressed the seven-member jury. The project used creative puzzles, clues, quotes, stories, and video clips to highlight the dangers of anti-Semitism and online hate playfully.

Promoting Tolerance and Diversity

The competition and the resulting winning project emphasized the importance of respect and tolerance in society. The visit to Europa-Park further deepened these values. With over 100 attractions and shows, the park offered not only entertainment, but also a space where students could strengthen their sense of community.
