For the 17th time, around 200 women from politics, business, and culture gathered in the festive Ballsaal Berlin at Europa-Park to support the Kinderschutzbund Kreisverband Ortenau e.V. The charity lunch, hosted under the patronage of Dipl.-Ing. Mauritia Mack, raised 32,255 euros to ensure a violence-free and nurturing childhood for children in the region.
Record Donation in Europa-Park’s Jubilee Year
The event took place as part of Europa-Park’s 50th anniversary celebrations, marking it as Germany’s largest amusement park. Mauritia Mack, deputy chairwoman of the Kinderschutzbund, welcomed the guests and emphasized Organizer significance. “When people with expertise and dedication come together, great things can happen,” she said. She expressed particular pride in the record-breaking donation, the highest in the event’s history. Over nearly two decades, the charity lunch has become a platform where ideas are born, networks grow, and initiatives mature. Mack highlighted her gratitude for the strong turnout in this milestone year.
Social Commitment of the Mack Family
Edith Schreiner, chairwoman of the Kinderschutzbund, praised the enduring commitment of the Mack family, who have supported socially disadvantaged individuals from the start. “Europa-Park is not only a beacon in the region but also ranks among the world’s most successful amusement parks,” she noted. The family’s success story is defined by entrepreneurial courage, confidence, unity, and clear visions. Their passion for advancing the park, a place dedicated to children and families, makes it an ideal setting for this annual gathering.
Tradition and Entertainment at the Charity Lunch
The event kicked off with a heartfelt performance by the school choir of Grund- und Gemeinschaftsschule Rust, led by Principal Christian Moser and Vice Principal Britta Schubert. For 17 years, the children’s uplifting presentation has marked the opening of the occasion. Artists from Europa-Park enhanced the lunch with captivating singing, dance, and thrilling acrobatics, delighting the attendees throughout the afternoon.
Kinderschutzbund: Advocating for a Better Future
The Kinderschutzbund Kreisverband Ortenau e.V., a nationwide nonprofit, champions child protection, children’s rights, and improved living conditions for kids and families. The organization identifies shortcomings, urges politicians and authorities to act, and drives initiatives to foster a child-friendly society. Funds raised at the event directly support these efforts, helping secure a safe youth for children in the region.
Regional Support for the Cause
Beyond Europa-Park, numerous companies contributed to the event’s success. Weingut Schloss Ortenberg, Coca-Cola, Obere Metzgerei Franz Winterhalter, Mussler Früchtedienst, dm, Armbruster, G&M Gourmet, Patisserie Nachtischkultur, Wilhelm Goedeken GmbH, Keltenhof Salate, and BurdaDirect lent their support. Their involvement reflects the region’s deep connection to the Kinderschutzbund’s mission. Social responsibility remains a core value at Europa-Park, as underscored by these partnerships.
