Germany’s largest theme park and the Rulantica water world will offer everything from culinary delights to spectacular events for all tastes. Here’s what visitors can look forward to in the upcoming month.
Balloon Festival Above Europa-Park
From May 1 to 3, the Balloon Festival will take over the skies above Germany’s biggest theme park. More than 20 hot air balloons will soar up to 800 meters, offering stunning views of Europa-Park, the Black Forest, the Rhine Valley, and the Vosges Mountains. A special Europa-Park balloon will join the lineup.
Bavarian-Baden Maihock Celebration
On May 1, the Maihock event will kick off in the Bayerisch-Badischer Biergarten. Guests will enjoy a hearty celebration featuring culinary highlights and entertainment from Europa-Park artists. A day full of Bavarian cheer awaits.
Rulantica Vibes: Relaxed Evenings
On selected days—May 1–3, 8–11, 15–17, 22–24, and 29–31—the outdoor slide area Svalgurok will host Rulantica Vibes starting at 7:00 p.m. Soothing sounds and refreshing drinks will create a laid-back atmosphere against this impressive backdrop, perfect for those seeking a calm end to the day.
Europe Day Celebration
On May 9, Europa-Park will honor Europe Day. Special activities and decorations will commemorate the birth of the European Union, showcasing the park’s dedication to celebrating the continent’s diversity.
Italian Festival and Mother’s Day
From May 10 to 11, the Italian Festival will bring the park’s oldest themed area to life. Visitors will explore Italy’s traditions and culture up close with a “Bella Italia” experience. On May 11, the Mother’s Day brunch in the Europa-Park hotels and Silver Lake Saloon will feature delightful treats, providing a perfect chance to say “Thank you, Mom.”
Party Schlager Festival
On May 17, “Die Partyschlager Sensation 2025 – 50 Jahre Europa-Park Mallorca Sommer Festival” will deliver pure festival excitement. Top live acts from the party schlager scene and thousands of enthusiastic Malle fans will make this a day of unforgettable revelry for party lovers.
Heavysaurus Rocks for Families
On May 3, the band Heavysaurus will perform their “Pommesgabel Reload Tour.” Four dinosaurs and a dragon will bring family-friendly rock music with powerful riffs, catchy melodies, and driving beats. Their German-language songs will have kids and adults singing, dancing, and letting loose.
Creative Workshop for Kids
Also on May 3, the “Picasso Puzzles – Gemeinsam Kunst erschaffen” workshop will invite children and teens to get creative. Guided by artist Roberto Radici, participants will paint sections of a large Pablo Picasso masterpiece, divided into 21 parts. Using brushes and colors, they’ll craft their own interpretations, which will be assembled into a striking collective artwork for display.
Asparagus Delight at Hotel “Colosseo”
From May 4 to 25, Sundays at Hotel “Colosseo” will celebrate asparagus season. Starters and desserts will be served, while the main course awaits at the buffet. Guests can enjoy as much asparagus as they like, prepared in styles ranging from refined to classic.
Eagles Charity Golf Cup
On May 5, the Europa-Park Eagles Charity Golfcup will take place on the 18-hole course of the Europa-Park Golfclub Breisgau e.V. Numerous celebrities will play for charity, with donations supporting worthy causes and projects for over 20 years. This event remains non-public.
Culinary Highlight: Eatrenalin
From May 23 to 24, the Eatrenalin Chef’s Special with Head Chef Alexander Mayer will offer an innovative eight-course journey. Enhanced with regional May specialties, this menu will promise a unique dining experience for guests.
Fairytale Festival for Young Visitors
On May 24 and 25, Grimms Märchenwald will come alive during the Märchenfest. Surrounded by Cinderella, the Frog King, Frau Holle, and other beloved fairytale characters, young guests will enjoy interactive activities tailored for little princesses and princes.
Springtime at Rulantica
From May 29 to June 1, the Rulantica water world will feature special shows at the Frigg Tempel and entertaining performances by Europa-Park artists, delighting families with a springtime splash.
Croatian Festival
From May 30 to June 1, the Kroatisches Fest will spotlight the park’s 17th themed area. Traditional dances, customs, and authentic dishes will showcase Croatia’s rich diversity for all to enjoy.
Hazel Brugger Live
On May 31, Hazel Brugger will take the stage with her solo show “Immer noch wach.” At just 30, this sharp-witted comedian—already a two-time mom, homeowner, businesswoman, successful podcaster, and TV regular—will share hilarious insights from her fast-paced life.
