Europa-Park ResortPass holders have something new to look forward to: Emerald Park in Ireland, formerly Tayto Park, is now part of the exclusive partner theme parks that can be visited once a year for free. This partnership opens the door to new and exciting experiences for roller coaster enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.

Emerald Park: A New Partner for Europa-Park Fans

Emerald Park in Ireland, located in Ashbourne, County Meath, was opened in 2010 as Tayto Park and operated under that name until the end of 2022. Since 2023, it has been known as Emerald Park and is considered one of Ireland's top attractions. As a partner park of the Europa-Park ResortPass program, it allows pass holders to visit once a year for free. No prior registration is required; access is granted by simply presenting the ResortPass.

Emerald Park's Roller Coaster Highlights

Roller coaster lovers will find plenty to enjoy at Emerald Park. One of the most impressive rides is the wooden roller coaster Cú Chulainn, which opened in 2015 and is based on the Irish mythology of the same name. It is Ireland's first wooden roller coaster and was designed by the renowned Gravitykraft Corporation.

In addition to this highlight, Emerald Park offers more exciting rides. The family coaster Dino Dash, built by Vekoma and opened in 2022, provides fun for visitors of all ages. Other family-friendly attractions include Flight School (Zierer Rides, 2019) and Ladybird Loop (SBF Visa Group, 2018).

This year, in 2024, two new coasters have been introduced: Na Fianna Force, an inverted coaster by Vekoma, which is Ireland’s first and only inverted coaster, and Quest, a shuttle coaster also by Vekoma, both enhancing the roller coaster experience at Emerald Park. These additions are already thrilling roller coaster fans.

Animal Adventures at Emerald Park

In addition to its thrilling roller coasters, Emerald Park also boasts a zoo featuring around 250 animals. The zoo participates in the European Endangered Species Program (EAZA) with 18 species, actively contributing to wildlife conservation. This combination of theme park and zoo makes Emerald Park an ideal destination for families and nature enthusiasts.

Europa-Park ResortPass: More Partner Parks for Free Visits

Emerald Park isn’t the only theme park ResortPass holders can visit for free. Other parks in the network include Efteling (Netherlands), Pleasure Beach Resort (England), Liseberg (Sweden), Port Aventura Park, and Isla Magica (Spain). ResortPass holders have the opportunity to explore a wide range of exciting destinations during the validity of their pass.

Additionally, ResortPass holders can enjoy a 40% discount on admission at several other theme parks, including Plopsaland De Panne and Plopsaqua in Belgium, as well as Holiday Park in Germany.
