Unveiling of the “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” Roller Coaster
Europa-Park proudly introduced the new roller coaster, “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac.” This attraction, located in the newly designed Croatia-themed area, features seven inversion elements and offers guests 2.2 seconds of weightlessness. A standout feature is the steepest launch in the world at an angle of 105 degrees, propelling visitors to speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, including one segment in reverse.
Prominent guests and Honors
Among the approximately 500 invited guests were high-ranking figures such as Andrej Plenković, the Prime Minister of Croatia, and the five-time Oscar winner Sir Richard Taylor. The event also saw attendance from significant political figures like the former Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, Günther Oettinger, and the Minister of Justice and Migration, Marion Gentges. Mate Rimac, CEO of the Rimac Group, was honored as an honorary member of the Adventure Club of Europe, and Miriam Mack, wife of Michael Mack and Honorary Consul of Croatia, was recognized for her contributions to Croatian-German relations.
A Diverse Entertainment Program
The summer festival offered a varied show program, including performances by Baby Lasagna and Europa-Park artists. An interactive exhibition titled “Croatian Inspiration” showcased Croatia's cultural and technological innovations. The Rimac Nevera, the world's fastest electric car, was also demonstrated, highlighting the technological prowess of the Rimac Group.
Evening Highlights
Guests enjoyed a ride on the new roller coaster at dusk. The evening concluded with a Croatian buffet and a spectacular fireworks display, bringing the festivities to a grand finale.
