This afternoon, a brief incident occurred on the “Blue Fire” roller coaster at Europa-Park. The fully loaded train came to a stop at an unusual spot on the track around 12:43 PM. The roller coaster halted in the first curve after the launch, at a height of 38 meters.
Safety Measures and Park Response
The affected themed area, “Iceland,” was immediately cleared and cordoned off to ensure the safety of visitors. Europa-Park staff used a platform lift to communicate with the passengers. Despite the train's unusual position, an evacuation was not necessary.
Return to Normal Operations
After a short waiting period, the train was safely rolled backward to the station with the help of a crane, without requiring passengers to disembark. Strong gusts of wind may have caused the incident, as such weather conditions can affect the roller coaster's performance.
