Anna Hüllner, a painter from Europa-Park, has qualified for EuroSkills 2025 with outstanding skills. The young craftswoman prevailed in the selection competition against strong competitors and will represent Germany in September at the European Vocational Championships in Herning, Denmark. Her success story is not only a personal triumph but also underscores the high quality of training at Europa-Park.
Challenge in the National Selection Competition
On January 30 and 31, 2025, the national selection competition for EuroSkills took place at the MEGA training center in Hamburg. Four talented young craftsmen competed for the German national team, aiming to secure the coveted ticket to the European championship. Alongside Anna Hüllner, Wilma Trigatti, Tim Schäfer, and Jan Engels participated in the competition.
In a total of six demanding tests, participants had to demonstrate their craftsmanship and creativity. The tasks included painting a door, precisely wallpapering a patterned wall, and a speed competition requiring precision under time pressure. Additionally, the jury required a creative wall design with a self-designed motif inspired by the host country, Denmark. An eight-member expert jury evaluated every detail of the work based on strict criteria. With her precise execution, artistic originality, and craftsmanship, Anna Hüllner secured victory and thus qualified for EuroSkills.
Europa-Park as a Springboard for Young Talents
Anna Hüllner completed her training at Europa-Park and has been a permanent member of the amusement park’s painting team since 2023. The combination of practical craftsmanship and creative design tasks provided her with optimal conditions to prepare for competitions of this nature. Europa-Park places great emphasis on high-quality vocational training in various fields and actively supports its talents in their professional development.
Frederik Mack, HR Director of Europa-Park, emphasized the significance of this success: "We are incredibly proud of Anna Hüllner and sincerely congratulate her on this outstanding achievement. Her talent, dedication, and passion for painting and varnishing are impressive. The fact that she will now represent Germany at EuroSkills 2025 is a special honor—both for her personally and for Europa-Park as a training institution."
Intensive Preparation for EuroSkills 2025
With her victory in the selection competition, Anna Hüllner now embarks on an intensive preparation phase. Targeted training sessions, workshops, and specialized courses are on her schedule to optimally prepare her for the challenges of EuroSkills. In September, she will compete under the German flag in Herning, facing off against the best young craftsmen from across Europe.
EuroSkills is the largest European vocational championship, providing young talents with the opportunity to compete with international colleagues. The competition not only enhances participants’ technical skills but also helps to raise public awareness of the significance of skilled trades. For Germany’s young professionals, participation is a valuable experience that allows them to showcase their abilities on an international stage.
By qualifying for EuroSkills 2025, Anna Hüllner joins the ranks of outstanding young craftsmen. Her success is a testament to the quality of vocational training in Germany—and to the excellent support of talents at Europa-Park.
