Advent Service at Europa-Park: Reflective Moments and Special Highlights

On the first Sunday of Advent, over 200 visitors gathered at the Hotel Santa Isabel in Europa-Park for a special service. The ecumenical celebration, held under the theme “Den Stern lob ich, der aus der Reihe tanzt!” (“Praise the star that dances out of line!”) offered a unique blend of reflection and family-oriented fellowship. In a heartfelt address, Mauritia Mack emphasized the significance of the “Church in Europa-Park,” which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. She highlighted the vital role of pastoral care, which offers guidance and support in moments of both joy and difficulty. “The Church in Europa-Park succeeds in bringing the message of love and compassion directly into people’s daily lives,” she said, underlining the importance of spiritual offerings in today’s world.

Introduction of Reverend Andreas Waidler to His New Role

A key moment of the service was the ceremonial introduction of Reverend Andreas Waidler as the new head of special pastoral care for the Evangelical Church in Baden. The ceremony, led by church councilor Sabine Kast-Streib, marked a significant step for Reverend Waidler, who will also oversee the “Church in Europa-Park.” As part of the celebration, Joy presented him with a symbolic glitter blessing, blending the cheerful and spiritual elements of the event seamlessly.
