Last night, the Europa-Park Arena in Rust hosted a special event: the graduation ceremony of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Southern Upper Rhine. It was an evening that, amidst the excitement for roller coasters and shows, set a shining example of professional success and recognition.

Recognition of Academic Achievement

Among the beaming faces of the graduates, one stood out in particular: Lynn Kaiser from Kenzingen, who completed her training as a hotel specialist with the best performance in the state. She and her fellow graduates were commended by Frederik Mack, Director of Human Resources at Europa-Park. "We are immensely proud of Lynn Kaiser and all our graduates. With a job offer for 96 percent of our trainees, we not only prove our belief in their skills but also strengthen the pillars of our family business," said Mack.

Golden Horizon for Skilled Workers

IHK President Eberhard Liebherr predicted a golden future for the young professionals in his speech. His address underscored the immense importance of the newly acquired skills in a labor market that shows a strong demand for qualified skilled workers. Liebherr's own career path, which took him from apprentice to IHK president, served as a motivating example for career opportunities that can be opened through solid training.

High-Performance Graduates in Numbers

The figures underline the impressive achievements: out of 3,931 candidates who took the final exams, 93.2 percent were successful. An outstanding number of 230 graduates scored at least 92 out of 100 possible points, earning the top grade. This statistic affirms the high quality of vocational education in the IHK Southern Upper Rhine district.

Professional Diversity as an Economic Reflection

From chemical technicians to wine technologists to automobile salespeople – the breadth of the 126 professions in which exams were taken reflects the diversity and economic strength of the region. Within this spectrum, 18 state champions and five national champions stood out, underscoring the high training standards in the chamber district.

Appreciation by Europa-Park

The appreciation for the young professionals was expressed by the Mack family, owners of Europa-Park, in the form of vouchers and tickets to Germany's largest amusement park. Such commitment from the business community sends a clear signal to the graduates and underscores the importance of their performance for regional success.

Promising Perspectives for the Future

This celebration marks not only the end of a chapter but is a symbol of the promise and opportunities that lie ahead for the young professionals. Companies willing to invest in the potential of their junior staff are the backbone of a thriving economy.

Conclusion

The event was more than an act of recognition – it was a commitment to the importance of vocational training and an investment in the future. The graduates from the IHK Southern Upper Rhine district have not only passed their exams but also laid the foundation for a promising professional career.
