Europa-Park in Rust celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025 under the motto “Feiern unter Sternen” (Celebrating Under the Stars). Two 24-hour openings, new attractions like “GRAND PRIX EDventure,” and a packed program await visitors. On July 12 and August 23, Germany’s largest theme park will stay open until midnight.
Anniversary Celebration with 24-Hour Fun
On July 12, 2025, marking Europa-Park’s 50th birthday, and on August 23, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Europa-Park JUNIOR CLUB, the park will open for 24 hours. Guests can enjoy action, adrenaline, and entertainment until midnight. These special days will be the highlights of the anniversary season.
New Grand Prix-Themed Attractions
Tied to the animated film “GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE,” hitting cinemas on July 24, 2025, the new 3D family attraction “GRAND PRIX EDventure” will open in the Luxemburg themed area. Visitors join Ed & Edda’s Racing Crew for an interactive race across Europe. Produced by MACK Magic in collaboration with Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany, the film follows a thrilling European race filled with humor and beloved mascots. Also launching is the racing game “GRAND PRIX Racing Champions,” available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, “YULLBE Go: Grand Prix Mission: Recharge,” developed by MACK One and VR Coaster, immerses guests in an exciting VR racing adventure.
Themed Festivals and a Stunning Parade
Throughout 2025, themed festivals will showcase the culture and cuisine of European countries in their respective park areas. A new parade will roll through Europa-Park’s streets, featuring colorful costumes and intricately designed floats that bring the European spirit to life, accompanied by dancers and acrobats displaying Europe’s diversity and charm in full splendor.
50 Years of History and a Monaco Preview
An interactive exhibition in the Silver Star-Halle will open, tracing 50 years of Europa-Park history. Visitors can explore fascinating insights into five decades of milestones. A highlight is the first glimpse of the upcoming Monaco themed area, set to debut in 2026, showcasing the principality’s glamour with rare, valuable cars from Formula E and the Grimaldi family’s princely collection.
Nordic Lights Festival and Art Displays
From January 13 to March 21, 2025, Rulantica water world will glow during the “Nordisches Lichterfest” with enchanting illuminations and dreamy shows, setting the stage for the anniversary season at Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort. In the historic Schlosspark, the “Garten der Sterne” will feature an impressive art installation by Ottmar Hörl. Fans submitted their favorite moments from 50 years of Europa-Park in the “Art Contest,” with the best entries showcased at the “ART BOULEVARD 2025” in the blue fire Dome.
New Shows and Rulantica Expansion
In the newly roofed Spanische Arena, “Die Legende des Zorro” will bring an adventure to life with breathtaking equestrian skills, spectacular vaulting artistry, and thrilling sword fights. “Big Moments – The Celebration Show” in the Europa-Park Teatro will uniquely revive the park’s history, taking guests on a journey through half a century of magical moments—from unforgettable rides to iconic shows and hotels. Starting in early summer, Rulantica will expand its large heated outdoor pool with the “Svømme-Bar,” geysers, and bubbling loungers for year-round water fun.
Dining and Shopping Updates
The “Coca-Cola Sportsbar” in the “Arena of Football” transforms into “Ball meets Bowl,” offering fresh bowls and crispy paninis alongside live sports broadcasts. A revamped shop in the Deutsche Allee will feature unique souvenirs for all ages. The limited 50th-anniversary collection includes collector’s items like an exclusive Monopoly edition, a scrapbook, and the official chronicle. Extensive merchandising with three collections completes the jubilee offerings.
Silver Lake City and Eatrenalin Innovations
The former Camp Resort is gradually becoming Silver Lake City. This year, the western town will offer new Western Houses and comfort pitches. The large buffet restaurant “Diner Station,” styled like an old western train station with an authentic train, opens alongside a brewery producing Europa-Park’s own beer, available at the nearby “Wild Horse Bar.” Cutting-edge technology comes alive with YULLBE GO integration, while an adventure playground and mini-golf course await guests. At Eatrenalin, Alexander Mayer and his team take over, serving a new 8-course menu starting March 21, 2025, with every culinary detail perfectly harmonized.
Additional Enhancements
New employee housing, administrative buildings, rehearsal spaces, a factory fire brigade, and a hall for parade floats will be built. The queue for “Madame Freudenreich Curiosités” will be redesigned to match its TV series, airing on KiKA from fall 2025. The Majorette Factory feat. Alpha Mods P.D. gets a fresh look, and the Langnese Happiness Station moves from the German to the Greek themed area, serving delicious soft serve with customizable toppings mixed in a swirl. Hotels will introduce digital room keys.
