Enchanting Winter World: The Season Begins on November 11

Beginning November 11, Efteling transforms into a magical winter landscape that offers a welcome change during the colder months for visitors of all ages. Snow-covered roofs, twinkling lanterns, and an interactive Wonder Winter Tree with sparkling crystal ornaments on Hartenhof create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. A particular highlight is the new Wonder Winter Tree, featuring lights, star-adorned bubbles, and a dazzling display of decorations.

New Attractions and Unforgettable Winter Adventures

In addition to classic rides, Winter Efteling also offers special winter experiences. On the Warme Winter Weide, visitors can enjoy a skate on the open ice rink, warm up by cozy fires, and savor winter treats. The surrounding area features chalets for games and souvenirs, creating a welcoming seasonal atmosphere.

Another highlight of the season is the new attraction, “Danse Macabre,” which opened on October 31. In the mysterious Huyverwoud area, brave guests can experience a spooky adventure set in the chilling atmosphere of an ancient abbey. The area also offers two new dining options and a souvenir shop, enhancing the immersive experience.

Spectacular Aquanura Show with New LED Technology

This winter, Efteling presents an updated version of the popular Aquanura show at the lake, now with fresh music, innovative light and show effects, and eco-friendly LED technology. Four “Bakens van Licht” (Beacons of Light), 8-meter-high lanterns, create a breathtaking atmosphere with thematic lighting and transformations. By using sustainable LED lighting and forgoing traditional fire effects, the show becomes an environmentally friendly spectacle.

Musical Performances and Theater Shows at Winter Efteling

Winter Efteling offers an extensive entertainment program with music, theater, and interactive shows for the whole family. On the Warme Winter Weide, guests can join “Pardijn’s Meedein Festijn” or enjoy the classic operas and operettas performed by tenor Dore Mifaso and soprano Soremila. In the Openluchttheater in the Fairytale Forest, a witch tells her story and searches for a warm place, while Nikkelen Nelissen, Lange, and Korte Nelis bring festive music to Hartenhof.

Other highlights include the “A Wonderful Wintertime” music show in the Carrousel Theater and the winter-themed performance of the Droomvlucht elves, who dance for the audience on Ton van Venplein.

Flexible Admission Prices and Extended Opening Hours

Admission prices for Winter Efteling vary by day, ranging from €38 to €51. For maximum flexibility, guests can purchase a flexible ticket for €51, valid on any day of their choosing. Regular park hours are from 11:00 a.m. to at least 6:00 p.m., with extended hours on weekends and during the Christmas holidays. From December 23 to December 30, visitors can enjoy the park from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Lodging Options and Extra Perks for Families

For visitors who wish to extend their Winter Efteling experience over several days, various lodging options are available in nearby hotels and holiday parks. Children up to three years old stay for free, and park access is unlimited throughout the stay. Efteling invites guests to celebrate the end of the year with a special New Year’s Eve event on December 31.
