A significant milestone has been reached in the development of the Efteling Grand Hotel with the installation of the first prefabricated facade elements. This step marks the visible commencement of the largest hotel project in Efteling's history and signifies the transition into a new phase of construction characterized by precision and progressiveness.
Innovative Construction Phase Takes Shape
The construction of the Efteling Grand Hotel is advancing with the installation of the first of over 350 prefabricated facade elements. Weighing between 3,000 and 30,000 kilograms, these elements will cover the facade of the hotel from the first floor to the roof, totaling 5,400 m2. Nicole Scheffers, the Director of Park & Resorts, emphasizes the intensive preparation and hard work that preceded this moment, expressing satisfaction with the progress.
A Structure of Impressive Magnitude
The hotel, which will be erected piece by piece in the coming months, features an efficient construction method. The facade elements arrive on-site complete with all necessary installations, such as plaster, windows, and doors. After the completion of the lower floors, interior construction work will begin. With seven stories and a width of 106 meters, the Efteling Grand Hotel will comprise 140 rooms and suites, offering a total of 644 beds.
Exclusive Amenities for Guests
In addition to accommodations, the Efteling Grand Hotel provides unique amenities such as a swimming pool with spa, two restaurants, and two souvenir shops, spread over an area of 450 m2. These facilities are accessible to both hotel guests and visitors to the amusement park, making the hotel an integral part of the Efteling experience.
Efteling Sets New Standards in Leisure
With its planned opening in 2025, the Efteling Grand Hotel will not only be the largest hotel in the Efteling world but also a symbol of innovation and guest experience. The meticulous planning and use of modern construction techniques promise a hotel that will be exceptional in every way.
