On April 18, 2025, the Efteling Wonder Hotel will reopen its doors after extensive renovations. Located just a short walk from the Efteling theme park, this unique airship invites guests to experience a stay where wonder and sleep intertwine.
Reopening with a New Identity
The hotel now bears the name Efteling Wonder Hotel, reflecting its refreshed look and distinct position. Nicole Scheffers, Director of Park & Resorts, states: “With the Efteling Grand Hotel opening in 2025 on the horizon, we aimed to sharpen this hotel’s market identity. The Efteling Wonder Hotel stands out from our other accommodations with its strong thematic focus. It’s an airship br full of wondrous stories.” Every stay includes unlimited access to the Efteling park.
An Airship Takes Shape
Renovations began with room upgrades in 2021, followed by a redesigned exterior in 2023. Currently, the ground floor is being transformed. While the upper floors form the airship, the ground floor will soon serve as its “base camp”—the engine room steering the stories. This is where tales land, continue, and begin anew. Guests stay in dreamy rooms or fairytale-themed suites, where Efteling’s stories live on. In this airship brimming with wondrous tales, visitors shape the course of their own dreams.
Revamped Lobby and Dining
Beyond the grand entrance doors, the lobby welcomes guests with luxurious display cases showcasing Efteling souvenirs. A lounge leads to the spacious dining area. Hotel guests enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet, relax with a coffee, unwind at the bar, or dine à la carte. Park visitors are also welcome to stop by for a drink or dinner. The Saga restaurant offers a playful menu served in “chapters” rather than courses, inspired by Efteling tales and crafted with family-friendly flavors.
Culinary Delights
Breakfast, included with every stay, features a rich buffet of fresh products for early risers and late sleepers alike. From 12:00 to 16:00 daily, the menu offers fresh lunch dishes and tasty snacks. In the evening, Saga brings Efteling’s stories to the table with several smaller dishes, blending accessible tastes with whimsical presentation.
Entertainment for All Ages
Mornings bring encounters with beloved Efteling characters. Evenings feature Juul Verreweg, a wonder driver with a mission and a dream of his own. Together with the children, he fills the Moby—the WonderDreamMobile—with dreams, lifting the hotel into the sky. The interactive Dromenvaarder lets guests steer the airship toward Efteling’s realms as planets orbit overhead. Five separate screens around the object offer interactive games for kids to play solo or compete, with partial wheelchair accessibility.
