In a groundbreaking announcement, Efteling has unveiled an innovative change to its ticket booking system for 2024. Starting January, visitors will have the ability to change the date of their already purchased tickets themselves, a move that significantly enhances convenience and flexibility for park guests.

Efteling – A Synonym for Magic and Adventure

Efteling, famous for its enchanting world of fairy tales and adventures, has evolved into one of the leading amusement parks in Europe since its inception. With a blend of traditional fairy-tale attractions and modern rides, it attracts millions of visitors each year.

The Current Ticket System

Until now, Efteling’s ticket system was based on four categories: Giant, Dragon, Elf, and Fakir. Each category has its pricing and validity periods. After purchasing a ticket, visitors had to additionally reserve a visit day, a process some found cumbersome.

Changes Starting January 2024

From January 8, 2024, this system will be simplified. Each ticket will bear a fixed date, and reservations will automatically be linked to it. This innovation allows visitors to adjust the date of their visit after purchase via the Efteling website. A change to a more expensive date will incur the difference in cost, while no refund is provided for switching to a cheaper date.

Introduction of the Flex Ticket

In addition to this change, Efteling introduced the flexible ticket, priced at 51 euros, valid until December 31, 2024, without the need for a prior reservation. This option is particularly attractive for those who value flexibility or wish to purchase a ticket as a gift.

Adjustment of Ticket Prices

In 2024, the prices for the various categories will see slight adjustments. The Fakir ticket, the cheapest on offer, remains stable at 38 euros. Prices for Elf and Dragon tickets increase slightly, while the Giant ticket is raised from 48 to 51 euros.

Summary and Outlook

The introduction of these new booking options underscores Efteling’s commitment to innovation and customer service. By allowing the date of an already purchased ticket to be changed, the park offers its guests unprecedented flexibility. These changes signal clearly that Efteling is determined to solidify its position as one of the leading amusement parks in Europe, while simultaneously catering to the needs of its visitors.
