Extended Hours for Family Adventures
Efteling opens daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM during the May vacations, from April 19 to May 4. On April 19, 20, 21, and 22, the park stays open until 8:00 PM. Guests soar through thrilling rollercoasters like De Vliegende Hollander, explore whimsical attractions, or immerse themselves in the fairy tales of Sprookjesbos.
Spring in Full Bloom
The park bursts with color as thousands of tulips and hyacinths bloom across beds, pots, and hanging baskets. Fresh greenery and fragrant flowers create a welcoming atmosphere. Families wander through this vibrant setting, capturing moments that linger long after their visit.
Tickets and Reservations
An entry ticket costs €48 during the May vacations. Children up to three years enter free with valid ID. Reservations for your chosen visit date are required, including for tickets purchased through partners like Albert Heijn or AirMiles, ensuring a smooth experience.
CARO: A Spectacular Family Show
The CARO show captivates with humor, music, and acrobatics. Running for 70 minutes, it plays at 6:30 PM on several days during the Maiferien. Suitable for all ages, the show can also be enjoyed without park admission, making it ideal for a special evening.
Koningsdag on April 27
On April 27, Efteling celebrates Koningsdag from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Visitors encounter characters like the Froschkönig, König Pardulfus, and the Trollenkönig, soaking up the festive spirit in a world of wonder.
All Attractions Open
No maintenance is scheduled during the May vacations, so every attraction is available. Current wait times are, as always, available on our website. De Vliegende Hollander thrills with a revamped photo spot and updated scene, while the Raveleijn show returns to its magical arena.
Daily Entertainment for All
Beyond regular programming, the Maiferien offer extra fun. On Max & Moritzplein, Bäckermeister Krümel and Frau Schmetterling chat with guests. Ritter Joris and his dragon roam the park, while the Sprookjessprokkelaar shares tales at the Sprookjesbos entrance. In Huyverwoud, Otto and Virginie Charlatan appear near the new Danse Macabre attraction.
Free Park Shows for Everyone
At the tiny theater on Anton Pieckplein, puppeteer August and his monkey Aagje recount adventures of the Ballonfrauchen and Bets’ bag. In the Sprookjesbos Openluchttheater, stories unfold about a mysterious gift, followed by photo opportunities with characters. On Carnaval Festivalplein, Jokie and Jet take guests on exciting journeys.
