Efteling is on the brink of a transformation. At the heart of this redevelopment is the imposing Efteling Grand Hotel, scheduled to open in 2025. However, this project is more than just a new hotel; it marks the start of a comprehensive makeover of the main entrance area, including the buggy rental and the Efteldingen souvenir shop.
The Efteling Grand Hotel: A Superlative Fairy Tale World
The Efteling Grand Hotel, the park's first and largest hotel, will boast seven floors, 140 rooms, and about 680 beds. Overnight guests can enter the park directly after breakfast and return to their rooms just as easily. The hotel will be equipped with two restaurants, two souvenir shops, and a swimming pool with spa facilities. Architecturally, the hotel impresses with its green oxidized copper roof, seven towers, and a gigantic clock. A 9-meter high and 16-meter wide arcade arch will form a unique gateway.
Revolution at the Main Entrance: The Island of the Five Senses
The “Island of the Five Senses” concept at the park's main entrance will create an oasis of nature, greenery, and water. The previous red accent color is replaced by a combination of calming blue and elegant gold tones, which will also be found in the Efteldingen souvenir shop and at the Efteling Grand Hotel. A new facade and optimized entrance doors aim to improve guest flow and provide a more intense experience. With a doubling of the control points and a two-part meandering for guest service, the entrance and exit areas will be more efficient and user-friendly.
Buggy Rental: Enhanced Comfort and Accessibility
The buggy rental, a vital service for families with small children, will be moved from its current location in the service building to the parking lot closer to the main entrance. This will ease access and increase availability. A large part of the current buggy park will be renovated, and the number of available buggies will increase. The service building in the parking lot will continue to offer wheelchair rentals, scooter rentals, and souvenir distribution.
A Bright Future for Efteling
These ambitious projects mark a significant milestone in Efteling's history. With the Efteling Grand Hotel and the redesign of the main entrance, the park sets new standards in terms of guest experience and comfort. These investments demonstrate Efteling's commitment to providing its visitors with a magical and unforgettable experience. The opening of the Efteling Grand Hotel and the Island of the Five Senses in 2025 will undoubtedly attract even more visitors from around the world and further establish Efteling as one of the leading amusement parks in Europe.
