The foundation for the Efteling Grand Hotel was laid over a year ago, but since then, the construction site has been quiet. An unexpected bankruptcy of a key supplier last year caused significant delays. Now, construction has regained momentum, as marked by the placement of the first concrete piles.

Accelerated Construction Progress Through Innovative Methods

The construction of the hotel will now rapidly advance with prefabricated components manufactured elsewhere. Particularly innovative is the approach to building the facade: it is being completely constructed externally and then installed at the construction site. Efteling Director Fons Jurgens highlights the advantage of this method, which will allow for a faster completion of the hotel.

Efteling Grand Hotel: A New Highlight in the Amusement Park

The Efteling Grand Hotel, as part of the new entrance area “Island of the Five Senses,” will set new standards for overnight stays in the park. With about 140 rooms offering approximately 680 beds, it will provide an unprecedented lodging experience.
