In the quaint amusement park Efteling, fans recently had a truly special surprise. Instead of being on the park's paths, Djinn, the impressive giant from the Fata Morgana attraction, suddenly appeared in Instagram Stories ready to answer questions. For those who know Djinn only as the captivating marionette in front of the attraction, this was an exciting twist.
Efteling enthusiasts had a rare opportunity on Wednesday: They could direct their curious and even humorous questions to Djinn. And although Djinn answered in a fascinating, Arabic-sounding fantasy language, Efteling ensured no fan was left behind. Thanks to helpful subtitles, everyone was clear on what the giant had to say.
Some of the questions genuinely amused me. Who would've thought someone would ask Djinn if he wears a diaper? Or what's up with those unique ball-shaped appendages on his face? For those wondering: They are cheek pouches that he uses to store moisture. And no, he's definitely not wearing a diaper!
For those now eager to meet Djinn in person: You have until September 3rd! After that, Djinn will depart with the end of the summer season.
