Visitors to Efteling amusement park can breathe a sigh of relief: the charging stations in the parking lot are now operational again after extensive construction work and a hiatus of over three months.
Reintroduction of Charging Stations
In January of this year, the charging stations for electric vehicles at Efteling's parking lot had to be dismantled to make room for construction activities. They were initially scheduled to be operational again in the second week of February. However, unexpected delays in the construction work extended the project timeline. Now, more than three months later, the charging points are once again accessible.
New Location with Improvements
The newly installed charging stations are now located in the park’s second parking area, known as P2. A significant upgrade is the addition of canopies equipped with solar panels that help power the charging stations. However, this change in location comes with a slight drawback: electric vehicle owners can no longer park as close to the entrance as before.
Impact on Visitors
This change may require some adjustment from visitors, as the new parking arrangement means a slightly longer walk to the park entrance. Efteling has assured that the new setup of the charging stations provides a more efficient and environmentally friendly solution, ultimately benefiting all park visitors.
