Disney’s Animal Kingdom is expanding its offerings with an exciting new area: Pueblo Esperanza. This 27-acre section will focus on the tropical Americas, promising to captivate visitors with its vibrant atmosphere and unique attractions.
A Vibrant Area Rich in History
Pueblo Esperanza, set to be constructed later this year, will be reminiscent of the popular Harambe area. This new land will feature a large hacienda that will house one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. The lush landscapes and central fountain will provide the perfect gathering spot for visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of the area.
New Attractions for the Whole Family
A highlight of Pueblo Esperanza will be an intricately designed carousel, crafted by a skilled woodcarver. This attraction will showcase beloved animals from Disney stories, offering a modern interpretation of the classic carousel that will particularly appeal to young families.
But the carousel isn’t the only attraction awaiting visitors. Pueblo Esperanza will also feature two major attractions: one based on the adventures of Indiana Jones and another that brings the magical world of Encanto to life.
Construction Begins This Year
Construction for Pueblo Esperanza will begin later this year, as announced by Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, at the “Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase” during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. With this new area, Disney’s Animal Kingdom continues its tradition of creating immersive and thematically rich experiences that are unforgettable for visitors of all ages.
