After extensive renovations, the reopening of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Park is just around the corner. On July 29, visitors can once again enjoy the popular attraction in its “Haunted Mansion Holiday” version.
Extended Closure for Renovations
The Haunted Mansion has been closed all year due to extensive renovations. The attraction will reopen with a newly designed outdoor queue area featuring a garden-themed setting. This new addition replaces the previous Fastpass distribution machines.
Reopening and Virtual Queue
On Monday, July 29, the Haunted Mansion will reopen in its popular “Haunted Mansion Holiday” form. Due to ongoing construction in the area surrounding the attraction, access will be exclusively through a virtual queue. This measure aims to better regulate visitor flow and minimize wait times.
Thematic Expansions and Additions
In addition to the new outdoor queue, a new Madame Leota-themed gift shop will open at the exit of the attraction. This expansion offers visitors additional thematic experiences and shopping opportunities.
Ongoing construction and Halloween Preparations
Even though the attraction is reopening, construction in the surrounding area will continue. The Haunted Mansion has remained in its “The Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay since the end of the last holiday season to seamlessly transition into the Halloween season, which begins this year on August 23.
Improved Visitor Experience
The new thematic expansions and the virtual queue are designed to enhance the visitor experience. The garden-themed outdoor queue offers a visually appealing environment, while the new Madame Leota gift shop provides additional points of interest at the end of the ride.
