Visitors to the region surrounding Disneyland Paris, Europe's most enchanting destination, are facing an unexpected and less enchanting surprise. In preparation for the Olympic Games scheduled to take place in Paris this summer, local authorities have decided substantially to increase the tourist tax. This decision directly affects the accommodation costs at the Disney Resort hotels, which are now experiencing a significant increase in prices.
Substantial Price Changes: A Closer Look at the New Tax Rates
Guests staying at the most luxurious accommodations, including the prestigious Disneyland Hotel, now need to dig deeper into their pockets. The tourist tax per night has surged from 3.75 euros to a staggering 10.73 euros per person. The four-star hotels, such as the Disney Newport Bay Club and the Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, have also felt the impact. Here, the tax has risen from 2.88 euros to 8.13 euros per night.The three-star accommodations are not spared from the tax increase either. The tourist tax climbed from 1.88 euros to 5.20 euros per night. Examples of affected hotels include the Disney Sequoia Lodge and the Disney Hotel Cheyenne. Even in the two-star hotels, like the Disney Hotel Santa Fe, the tax per person per night has increased from 1.13 euros to 3.25 euros.
