Commitment to Biodiversity

Disneyland Paris has long been dedicated to protecting biodiversity and promoting environmental awareness. The theme park hosts numerous biodiversity facilities maintained throughout the year by horticulture teams responsible for all green spaces.

Activities on the International Day for Biological Diversity

On May 22, the International Day for Biological Diversity, Disneyland Paris organized special workshops for employees and ULIS students from Nicolas Tronchon Secondary School in Saint-Soupplets. These students, part of a local unit for inclusive education, had the opportunity to explore the biodiversity at Disney Hotel Cheyenne with their senses. Meanwhile, employees could participate in a guided tour of one of the beehives or take a nature walk.

Year-Round Programs for Employees

Throughout the year, horticulture teams organize nature tours in the heart of Disneyland Park. These tours aim to bring employees closer to the park’s biodiversity and enhance their understanding of nature conservation.

Nature Trails for Visitors

At Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch and Disney Hotel Cheyenne, nature trails allow visitors to learn more about the facilities dedicated to wildlife protection and actively engage with the topic of biodiversity.

A Look at Biodiversity Facilities

To celebrate this special day, we take a look at the impressive figures that highlight Disneyland Paris’s efforts: Disneyland Paris maintains 330,000 shrubs and bushes, as well as 7,400 square meters of flower beds. Additionally, the park is home to 33,000 trees and over 20 varieties of fruit trees. More than 50 species of wildflowers and plants enrich the green spaces. Furthermore, Disneyland Paris supports natural pollination with 40 native beehives. To further promote biodiversity, 400 nesting boxes and shelters for beneficial species have been installed.
