At the Disneyland Paris station, alarming structural damages have necessitated the partial closure of the Main Street Station.
Maintenance Neglect
Continuous maintenance efforts are underway at Disneyland Paris, yet the ravages of time are clearly visible on the park’s structures. Despite regular maintenance, the ongoing deterioration has not been halted. Recently, images posted on the Facebook fan page, Dphile, revealed significant cracks in the green arches above the walkways. The damage is so severe that employees question the stability of the decorations and fear for the visitors' safety.
Current Measures and Safety Precautions
In immediate response to the imminent danger, sections of Main Street Station have been cordoned off with barriers. This measure ensures that visitors do not enter the hazardous area and are protected from any potential falling debris. The safety of park visitors is of utmost priority; hence, swift actions were taken to minimize any risks.
Other Damage Incidents in the Park
The condition of the station is not an isolated issue. Throughout the year, other areas of the park have also suffered similar problems. Photographs have shown significant damages at a souvenir shop, a meet-and-greet site, and the bridge at Sleeping Beauty’s castle. Additionally, the exterior facade of a restaurant in Fantasyland is beginning to crumble.
