Mickey and Minnie Mouse Bring Smiles: Disney Ambassador Visits Children at Dieppe Hospital

On September 18, 2024, the pediatric ward of Dieppe Hospital was transformed into a place of joy and wonder when Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse made a surprise visit to the young patients. This special visit, organized by Dylan Legras, Disneyland Paris Ambassador, and his mother, Rachel, who is the head of the pediatric ward, brought much-needed moments of magic and happiness to the children's lives.

A Special Connection to Dieppe

Dylan Legras, who was born in Dieppe, had a personal motivation to bring Disney magic to the hospital in his hometown. Since 2013, Dylan has been a Cast Member at Disneyland Paris and was appointed as the resort's ambassador in 2022. In this role, he represents the many cast members of the resort and helps spread Disney magic beyond the parks. Together with his mother, Rachel, who has been leading the pediatric ward at Dieppe Hospital for years, they aimed to bring joy to the young patients with this unique visit.

Joy and Magic for Young Patients

The visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse was a resounding success. The children's bright, excited eyes and their joyful reactions to the Disney stars spoke volumes. For these young patients, it was a rare moment of distraction and happiness that helped them escape the challenges of hospital life, even if just for a short time.

Every year, the theme park invites hundreds of hospitalized children to experience the magic of the park. However, when children cannot travel, Disneyland Paris brings the magic to them. Supported by “VoluntEARS” a group of Disney employee volunteers, Disney characters visit children in hospitals, giving them unforgettable experiences.
