An incident at Disneyland Paris significantly disrupted a visitor's stay: A staff member entered her hotel room without knocking, triggering a panic attack.
Incidents at the Disneyland Hotel
During her stay at the recently renovated Disneyland Hotel, a visitor who expressed her grievances on TikTok under the username Mycastletale, experienced two distressing incidents. Initially, a hotel employee entered her room without prior notice. She was in a private moment when the door suddenly opened. She captured the incident on video, which triggered a severe emotional response.
Reactions and Consequences
The affected individual, who has autism and other psychological conditions, described the situation as particularly distressing. After the first incident, she went to the reception in a disturbed state to report the occurrence. There, she was asked to wait in the lobby while suffering from tears and a panic attack – a condition also recorded on video.
Hotel's Handling of the Situation
In response to the woman's complaint, the hotel management assigned her a different room and allowed a later check-out time. Despite these measures, however, another incident occurred where a staff member entered her room again, this time half an hour before the agreed check-out time.
Complaints and Public Reaction
Following these events, the visitor reached out to the hotel administration several times via email but felt that her concerns were not taken seriously. Since March 18, when she lodged the complaint, the hotel has stated that the case is under investigation. The woman's disappointment and frustration led her to make her experiences public on TikTok, highlighting her shortcomings.
