Imagineers Create the Most Immersive Suites in Disneyland Paris

At Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney Imagineering has realized a long-held dream for many fans: spending a night in the worlds of famous Disney movies with the Signature Suites.

The Vision Behind the Signature Suites

The newly redesigned Disneyland Hotel in Paris unveils its latest treasures: the Signature Suites. Each suite is inspired by classics from Walt Disney Animation Studios such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Cinderella,” and “Frozen." Sophie Coudré, who has been with Walt Disney Imagineering since 2018, explains the detailed concept behind the scenes of these magical rooms.

An Intensive Development Process

The development of the suites was a meticulous project that took place in close collaboration with Disney Animation's Creative Legacy Team and the Walt Disney Animation Research Library. From analyzing animations to final implementation, every detail was carefully planned. The design process included sketches, 3D modeling, and selecting materials that reflect cultural and historical elements of the respective movie worlds.

Design and Thematic Elements

In each suite, visitors can find iconic elements from the movies. For example, the “Sleeping Beauty” suite features a medieval-inspired ambiance, while “Frozen” is distinguished by Scandinavian elements. Special items include Aurora's changing dress, the Beast's enchanted rose, and Cinderella's glass slipper.

Artwork and Local Craftsmanship

In addition to the thematic elements, artful depictions from Disney films enhance the atmosphere of the suites. These artworks are based on the original animations and were created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Animation Research Library. Local craftsmen also contributed to the design, using traditional French techniques to create some of the most distinctive pieces.
