Disneyland Paris expands its beloved Fairy Tale Land with a scene from Pixar's movie “Up”. Soon, visitors will be able to experience Carl and Russell in a miniaturized world inspired by Paradise Falls.
Introduction to Fairy Tale Land
Since its opening in 1994, Le Pays des Contes de Fées at Disneyland Paris has offered a unique miniature world that takes visitors on a magical journey through fairy tale kingdoms. Known for its depiction of tiny fairy tale landscapes, this attraction continuously attracts guests eager to experience the romance and fantasy of classic tales.
New Scene from "Up"
The latest addition to the attraction includes a scene from the popular Pixar film “Up”. In this scene, Carl and Russell, surrounded by the picturesque setting of Paradise Falls, become part of the attraction. Visitors should also keep an eye out for Kevin, who might also be hiding in the scene.
Artistic Direction and Design
Keith Rector, Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, explains that integrating Carl's flying house, a central symbol of the film, perfectly complements the fairy tale book architecture of the attraction, thus providing a fitting conclusion. This extension seamlessly joins a series of new additions, including previously announced scenes from “Frozen” and “Winnie the Pooh”.
Sponsorship and Partnership
The attraction will henceforth be presented by Vittel, strengthening its longstanding partnership with Disneyland Paris. New elements, such as an updated entrance sign and thematically appropriate decorations in the waiting area, are introduced to effectively integrate the sponsor and highlight its role. Water, as a source of inspiration for Disney stories, plays a central role.
Commitment and Support
Karine Rougale, Director of Corporate Alliances & Partnerships, emphasizes the importance of the long-standing collaboration with Vittel. This partnership helps to enrich the visitor experience and create lasting memories. The official reopening of Le Pays des Contes de Fées is scheduled for this summer, promising guests new and impressive experiences.
