Disneyland Paris unveiled a new pilot program at the WEConnect International Europe Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Conference, set to launch next year in collaboration with WEConnect International. The program aims to increase the visibility and growth of women-owned businesses in France, integrating them more deeply into the resort’s supply chain.

Diversity as a Key to Supply Chain Success

For over 30 years, Disneyland Paris has partnered with a wide range of suppliers, drawing on both local and international expertise to deliver unforgettable guest experiences. Last fiscal year, the resort worked with approximately 4,000 suppliers, the majority of whom are based in France. Women-owned businesses play a crucial role in this supplier base. Over the next three years, Disneyland Paris plans to bring 100 new women-owned businesses into its supply chain and certify them through WEConnect International. This initiative is not only intended to enhance diversity within the supply chain, but also to encourage other companies to actively include women-owned businesses in their strategies.

A New Initiative to Support Women-Owned Businesses

At the WEConnect International Europe Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Conference, held at Disneyland Paris, Présidente Natacha Rafalski announced the pilot program aimed specifically at supporting women-owned businesses in France. The program, developed in close collaboration with WEConnect International, is scheduled to begin in 2025. It will provide women-owned businesses with customized workshops and mentoring opportunities tailored to their specific needs and interests. By doing so, Disneyland Paris aims to foster the growth and visibility of these businesses.

Workshops and mentoring for sustainable success

The newly announced program will not only offer certification, but also practical support to ensure the success of women-owned businesses. Disneyland Paris plans to host specialized workshops that address the expressed needs of participating entrepreneurs. In addition, mentoring programs will be developed, allowing experienced Disneyland Paris executives to offer valuable insights and support to women entrepreneurs. These efforts aim to help ensure the growth and long-term success of women-owned businesses.

Host of the First Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Conference in Europe

By hosting the WEConnect International Europe Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Conference, Disneyland Paris reinforces its leadership in supplier diversity. This conference, held for the first time in Europe in September 2024, provided a platform for inspiring panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities for companies looking to integrate diversity and inclusion into their business strategies. Disneyland Paris seized this opportunity to present its new initiative and position itself as a leader in supplier diversity and the support of women-owned businesses.

Positive Impact on Communities and the Economy

Disneyland Paris views the integration of women-owned businesses as not only an economic advantage but also a social responsibility. Collaborating with diverse suppliers enhances the guest experience and contributes to a positive economic impact at both local and national levels. By creating jobs and business opportunities, Disneyland Paris plays a vital role in strengthening the communities in which it operates.
