On August 10, 2024, during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, Disneyland Paris unveiled two exciting announcements: The world's first attraction and immersive themed land inspired by the popular “The Lion King” franchise, as well as the long-awaited opening of the “Frozen World” in 2026.
The First “The Lion King” Attraction Worldwide
The planned “The Lion King” attraction will take visitors on an adventurous journey through the African savannah. Guests will experience the unforgettable adventures of Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa up close. A central highlight of the attraction will be the majestic Pride Rock, which will serve as the gateway to a spectacular water attraction. This immersive experience will be complemented by character encounters, themed dining, and exclusive shopping opportunities, promising a unique experience for guests of all ages.
“Frozen World” opens in 2026
Before that, in 2026, Disneyland Paris will open the doors to “Frozen World”. This themed land will thrill fans of the successful Disney movie “Frozen” and will include the “Frozen Ever After” attraction. Visitors will have the chance to meet sisters Anna and Elsa in person and immerse themselves in the magical world of Arendelle. Another highlight will be the new, breathtaking nighttime show over the central lake in Disney Adventure World, featuring water screens, drone choreography, and special effects.
Expansion of Disney Adventure World

Extensive Renovations at Disney Hotels and Disney Village
In addition to the park renovations, Disney Hotels and Disney Village are also undergoing extensive transformations. For example, the bungalows at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch will be completely renovated with themed interiors inspired by beloved Disney characters.
