Disneyland Paris discontinues the popular fireworks show Magic Over Disney between seasonal festivities. The show, which attracted visitors during quieter times, will not occur in 2024 or 2025.

Overview of the Fireworks Show

The additional fireworks show Magic Over Disney at Disneyland Paris will no longer be offered between the Halloween and Christmas seasons, nor after the holiday break. This decision follows a reorientation of events and offerings in the park to enhance attractiveness even during typically quieter times.

Background of the Decision

The show was launched in collaboration with tour operators like Oad to boost visitor numbers during the off-season. A spokesperson from Oad confirmed that the previous format of Disney's Magical Fireworks Festival will not continue in the coming years. Instead, the offering will be renamed the Magical Winter Package, which will proceed without the additional fireworks show.

Details of the New Arrangement

Despite the cancellation of the spectacular fireworks show, the fundamental offer of the arrangement remains. Visitors can still book two nights at a Disney hotel and receive three days of park admission. Additionally, bus transportation to the resort can be added. The dates for the new arrangement remain, with two slots in November and three in January.

Additional offers and events

The regular evening show, Disney Dreams, which will be replaced by Disney Illuminations at the end of May, will continue as usual. This ensures guests will still experience a magical time during their stay, even without the extra fireworks.

Historical Perspective

Magic Over Disney underwent several changes and variations in its format. Most recently, guests could admire a replica of a show from California performed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative was named Disney's Magical Fireworks and Bonfire, and at that time, it was without video projections.
