In the Year of the Dragon, a spectacular setting comes to life, captivating visitors with a blend of culinary delights, vibrant entertainment, and symbolic decoration.

Culinary Journey: Asian Delicacies with a Disney Twist

The park's culinary landscape pays homage to Asian cuisine, rounded off with a distinctive Disney touch. Six Lunar New Year marketplaces, as well as selected park restaurants, offer guests unique taste experiences, ranging from Pork Banh Mi Sandwich and Kung Pao Bao to Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron and Vietnamese Taro Iced Coffee. Collectors and aficionados of the unique, exclusive items such as the Mickey Mouse Macaron Straw Clip and the Lunar New Year Stainless-Steel Cup are available for purchase.

The acquisition of the Sip and Savor Pass allows guests to flexibly and fully enjoy the festival's culinary diversity. This pass includes six vouchers redeemable for selected food and non-alcoholic beverages and ensures a carefree and enjoyable festival experience through innovative digital solutions.

Cultural Fusion: Entertainment, Art, and Tradition

The Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure Park is a kaleidoscope of cultural performances and activities:

- Meilin Lee and Ming Lee, characters from Disney and Pixar's “Turning Red,” make their debut, bringing Chinese traditions into the colorful world of Disney.
- The “Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession,” led by Mushu, narrates family, friendship, and the prospect of a year filled with luck and success.
- The breathtaking water show “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” tells, accompanied by music from Oscar®-winning composer Tan Dun, the story of a small lantern on its way home.
- Traditional arts and crafts, from Chinese calligraphy to exhibitions showcasing Disney characters as the 12 zodiac signs, provide unique insights into the history and culture of the Lunar New Year.

A special highlight is the 80-foot-long dragon kite at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, symbolizing diversity and the rebirth of spring and leaving visitors in awe.

The Disneyland Resort invites you to be part of this wonderful celebration and to experience the fascination of Asian traditions combined with the magic of Disney.
