Alton Towers is reintroducing early access to popular attractions for hotel guests. This measure, returning after several years of hiatus, allows guests to enjoy selected rides starting at 9:00 AM.

Reopening of Early Access for Hotel Guests

After many years of suspension, Alton Towers has reinstated early access to its rides for hotel guests. This special offer, available from July 20 to September 1, allows guests to experience the attractions Nemesis Reborn and Curse at Alton Manor from 9:00 AM. This initiative aims to provide hotel guests with an exclusive experience before the park officially opens at 10:00 AM.

Exclusive Benefits and Changes

While in the past, annual pass holders could also benefit from this early access, this privilege is now reserved exclusively for hotel guests. This has led to some changes to ensure that only eligible guests use early access. Signage and staff will be employed to prevent non-hotel guests from entering the rides before the official opening time.

Access and Procedure

Hotel guests can enter the park through a special gate near the Galactica roller coaster. Access is provided via the monorail and the park entrance, which are open to all guests at 9:00 AM. This gives hotel guests ample time to enjoy the offered attractions before general access is granted.

Background and History

The early access offer was previously available until 2019 before being suspended. By reintroducing this perk, Alton Towers is showing appreciation for its hotel guests and creating an additional incentive for staying overnight at the park resort.

Reactions and Expectations

The resumption of early access is expected to be well-received. Many hotel guests appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the attractions without long wait times and in a more relaxed atmosphere. This measure could also boost bookings at the park hotels, as guests will want to take advantage of the additional early access benefit.
