Alton Towers is bringing back its popular Scarefest event, adding even more thrills with two new attractions. From October 11th to November 3rd, 2024, visitors can look forward to “Compound” and “Amigos in the Afterlife,” elevating the Halloween experience to a whole new level.
“Compound”: The Return of Nemesis
The first of the new attractions, “Compound,” is based on the story of the iconic roller coaster “Nemesis Reborn,” which reopened earlier this year. This immersive experience takes guests through a live-action horror maze, where they take on the role of the “Phalanx,” a secret organization tasked with controlling the feared Nemesis creature. The dark atmosphere and intense storyline promise an unforgettable horror adventure for those seeking a serious scare.
Family-Friendly Frights with “Amigos in the Afterlife”
For younger visitors and families, “Amigos in the Afterlife” offers a gentler, yet still thrilling experience. In this family-friendly attraction, guests are guided by friendly ghosts on their journey back to the land of the living. With humorous and playful elements combined with mild spooky effects, this attraction is perfect for all ages.
Returning Favorites and a YouTube Collaboration
In addition to the new highlights, several fan-favorite attractions will be returning, including “Altonville Mine Tours – Tiny’s Revenge,” “The Attic: Terror of the Towers,” and “Trick O’ Treat Town,” created in collaboration with Haribo. Also returning is “Daz Games: Panic Reloaded,” a hybrid of escape room and live-action maze, once again presented in partnership with the well-known YouTuber Darren “Daz” Black.
Looking Ahead to Scarefest 2024
Bianca Sammut, Divisional Director of Alton Towers, is enthusiastic: “Scarefest is back and spookier than ever. With a mix of new and returning horror attractions, we're offering our guests the ultimate Halloween experience at Alton Towers Resort.”
